Baldwinsville's Doug Rowe to retire
Longtime Baldwinsville coach Doug Rowe is calling it a career after the 2016 season. Rowe cited a changing coaching world as one of the reasons for his retirement. Rowe enters his 26th season with an overall career coaching record of of 355-114.
Congratulations former Carthage coach Sue Gallagher!
Gallagher was among the seven individuals (and one team) inducted into the Upstate NY Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame Oct. 18 at the Traditions at The Links.
Gallagher started the Carthage girls lacrosse program in 1999 and served as the Comets head coach until her retirement in 2014. During that time, Gallagher won five straight Section 3 championships (2006-2010), seven league championships, was named All-CNY Coach of the Year (2010) and finished with a 221-81 career record.
Besides Gallagher, the Class of 2015 also includes Greg Burns, Gordon Pollard, Ryan Powell, Barry Powless, Greg Rinaldi, John Zulberti and Henninger's 1980 State Championship team.
